"Who the hell created a wall here?" She asked herself angrily as she rubbed her forehead which she knew would be red.
"Hello girlfriend" Aarchi looked up surprised at seeing her boyfriend, Gautam stood in front of her with a wide smile. A smile automatically formed on her face seeing him and she jumped to hug him.
"What are you doing here?" She asked still hugging him tightly.
"Wishing my lovely girlfriend best of luck for her day" Gautam broke the hug and handed her a rose flower making her lower her eyes in shyness.
"You know my crush is back home" She said happily forgetting about her work.
"Who? Siddharth Malhotra or Kartik Aryan?" Gautam asked bending his head to her level.
"Siddharth Malhotra, Arush told me this morning" Aarchi blushed at the mention of Siddharth Malhotra.
"He's married beautiful" Gautam chuckled at her blush.
"So? Its not written anywhere that I can't like a married man" She glared at Gautam for breaking her bubble.
"Stop standing here darling and go, you want to be late on your first day?" He asked her by placing a hand under her chin and making her look at him. She kissed his cheek and ran inside the hospital still holding the rose close to her. With a heavy heart she placed the rose in her handbag and stood at the reception with other people.
The receptionist sorted the 15 of them. She took a deep breath and prayed a small chant in her head before she knocked on her supervisor's door.

"Aaru Aaru" Rishav called Aarchi as she wrapped up for the day.
"Come direct to Malhotra, me and Kayu are going there" Rishav said as he and Kaira sat in the car.
"Why are you going there? Anything special?" Aarchi opened her hair and ran a comb through it to detangle them.
"Nope just like that" Rishav said and Aarchi agreed to the plan. She quickly removed her phone and sent a long paragraph of how her day was to both her sister-in laws.
Nidhi still wasn't the official wife of Aviraj but just to tease them she always mentioned Nidhi as Aviraj's wife and not girlfriend. Earlier they had thought that they were discrete enough to keep their relation hidden but Aarchi had caught them at a restaurant once having a scrumptious romantic dinner date.
She drove to the Malhotra Mansion. Each time she went there the architecture amused her.
Passing her keys to the valet, she rushed inside the house screaming for Veer and Ridhima Malhotra.
"Hey Aarchi" Rishav was the first one to see her and stood up to hug her.
"How was your day?" Rishav asked excitedly to which Aarchi filled him in with small details here and there as the whole room listened to them.
"You've forgotten us young princess" Veer and Ridhima said with an angry pout.
"Me? Forgotten you two? You are confusing me with your useless son, Arush" She joked as she moved to them to hug them.
"Even that's true. He's never home" Ridhima said as she kissed Aarchi's cheek.
"You look so grown and mature in Kurtis, don't wear them, we like our small, little bundle of sunshine dressed in sundresses" Ridhima looked at Aarchi head to toe and looked at her complainingly.
"That's true. When did this small one grow up so fast?" Veer placed his hand on her head and hugged her.
"You guys are just being over emotional" She sat on the sofas and pulled the plate of bhajia towards her.
"Aye keep that down. Yours and Vihaan's plate is outside in the patio, we want to do adult talks" Kaira stopped her and pulled her up, pushing her towards the patio.
"What adult talks? Who should be the next prime minister or Virat or Shubman, who's hotter? That adult talk?" Aarchi looked at them wiggling her eyebrows.
"Aaru" Kaira looked at her sternly trying to hide her smile.
"Fine ladies, I am sorry for revealing your adult talks" Aarchi held her hands in air, surrendering herself to them.
"Where's my bestie though?" Aarchi asked remembering that Arush was missing.
"He's gone to his friend's place to get some notes" Veer replied to her and she nodded understanding it. Arush, just like his elder brother was into medicine. She ran to the men and stole a few bhajia from their plate and ran away as they complained about it. She walked to the patio and saw it was raining outside.
"Yeh mausam ki baarish
Yeh baarish ka paani
Yeh paani ki boondein
Tujhe hi toh dhoondhe
Yeh milne ki khwahish
Yeh khwahish puraani
Ho poori tujhi se
Meri yeh kahaani" Aarchi wet her hands in the rain and played with it while singing. She thought of having Gautam beside her and twirled with water in her hands but stopped abruptly.
"No need to stop on my expense, continue what you were doing" She came face to face with Vihaan Malhotra who looked at her amused. Throwing away the water in her hands, she wiped them on her kurti and looked everywhere except him.
"I...I was just..." She thought of an excuse, but none came to her mind.
"Sit, let's eat the bhajia before they get cold" He said walking to the chairs in the patio and sat with his plate.
"Yeah sure" She agreed and sat down opposite him, silently. She looked around thinking on how to start a conversation with Vihaan. On the other hand, Vihaan observed Aarchi and smiled seeing her desperateness to talk.
"How was your day?" He asked dipping the bhajia in the chutney and eating. Aarchi looked towards him with a smile and explained to him how her whole day went by as he listened to her patiently.
"What about you? Arush was saying that you recently have shifted from London to here permanently. Why?" She asked interested in knowing about him.
"London... London ki baat hi kuch aur hai.Bade bade log, badi badi baatein, badi badi sadke, badi imarate and Trafalgar Square, pigeons...kabootar. Rani ka mahel, jidhar dekho bas chahel pahel" Vihaan stood up and recited the dialogues of Devdas doing the exact same acting as SRK in Devdas. Aarchi couldn't control and laughed at his words urging him to continue speaking.
"Do you know Paro.." "Aa aa" Aarchi stopped him and corrected him.
"Aarchi not Paro" She said with a smile and crossed her legs, looking at him with happiness.
"Aari" Vihaan modified her name in the way he wished and looked at her for confirmation if she liked the name. Aarchi nodded her head and asked him to continue the dialogue.
"Do you know Aari, London ke log apni hi duniya mein mast hai..." He said and looked at her to speak. She looked at him confused when it clicked that it was Paro's turn to speak.
"Ohh...Ohh, I get it... Aur tum?" She said the dialogue with the same eagerness in her voice which Aishwarya had in the movie.
"Of course...you are so silly" Vihaan turned around and walked closer to the edge of the patio.
"Mention not" Aarchi faked the shyness in her voice and lowered her eyelashes.
"Hmm?" Vihaan turned around like Shah Rukh Khan and laughed, making her laugh as well.
"That was fun" Aarchi said as she tried to control her laughter but failed. Vihaan walked back and sat beside her shaking his head.
"Indeed" He ringed the intercom and informed them to send in more snacks noticing that Aarchi's plate was almost empty.
"You didn't have to do that, I could have gone and got more for us" Aarchi said getting up to get more for him and her.
"Sit, you'll get lost here, its quite a huge place" Vihaan asked her to sit down but she glared at him.
"I know the blueprint of your house at the back of my hand. You forget that your brother is my best friend" She said softly but with sternness in her voice, leaving no window open for discussion.
"I did forget" Vihaan smiled making her smile too. Both of them talked on random topics, slowly opening up to each other.
"You still didn't say why you are back home" Aarchi reminded him of the interrupted conversation.
"All that I said earlier, out of all that, nothing was fun anymore. Dil nahi lag raha tha waha" Vihaan said smiling which translated that he didn't want to talk more of it.
"So do you like here now?" She asked happily.
"There was a long hard time when I kept far from me the remembrance of what I had thrown away when I was quite ignorant of its worth." He quoted Charles Dickens from Great Expectations unsure whether she'd pick the meaning if it or not.
"If more people valued home above gold, this world would be a merrier place" Aarchi replied quoting Richard Armitage's dialogue from the movie The Hobbit- The Battle of the Five Armies, impressing him.
