29: Picnic Time

"Bhaiyu picnic chalte hai na pleaseee" Aarchi ran behind Aryaman and Aviraj trying to convince them about going out for a picnic.

"We have so much work baba" Aryaman said showing her that he had alot in his hands.

"Maan even I want to go, pleasee" Maitri said siding with Aarchi.

"Just have a look, I've got no time to relax. You two and mum go out, I can't do it" Aryaman said opening his ipad showing Maitri he had alot to do.

"Rishavvvv" Kaira glared at Rishav, asking him to convince his sons. Rishav looked at Kaira shrugging his shoulders.

"Fine you won't come?" Aarchi asked angrily.

"No" Aviraj said refusing.

"I'll go ask your friends. I'm sure Nidhi di is free. Ohh and even Arush is free this weekend" Aarchi said playing her trump card.

"Nidhi isn't free" Aviraj argued.

"Why? You are her P.A that you know whether she's free or not? My problem, I'll sort it out my way. You both can go rot in your stupid offices" Aarchi stomped her foot at them pulling Maitri with her out.

"You are too stubborn" Aryaman and Aviraj said defeatedly.

"Yayyyyy, I love you" She jumped onto both her brothers and started making a list of everything for the picnic.

"Call all your friends and tell them, I'll call Arush and tell him" Aarchi looked around to find her phone, leaving the men to do their business.

"Yo" Maitri sat beside Aarchi and elbowed her.

"Why are we going for a picnic suddenly?" She asked curiously.

"I'm thinking of telling them about me and Vihaan" Aarchi explained.

"What are you two whispering?" Rishav asked interested.

"Girls talk" Aarchi replied haughtily.

"But where are we going for picnic?" Aviraj asked.

"Our farmhouse?" Maitri asked softly.

"Good idea" Aryaman kissed Maitri's head before group calling his friends.

HOUR LATER

"So me and Maitri are going in one car. The oldies are going together in one car. Raj and Manav are going with Vihaan. Aaru, Yukti and Divya are going in one" Aryaman said as they all sat down for dinner.

"Avi bhaiyu?" Aarchi asked serving Rishav food.

"I'm coming late, I have a hearing so I'll come after that" Aviraj said taking one roti from Maitri who held the plate.

"Okayy. I've decided what games we can play. We can play golf, cricket, football, cards, UNO and last but not the least Truth or dare" Aarchi said remembering where she has placed all the game equipment's.

"You had it all planned hadn't you?" Aryaman asked teasingly.

"We are going out after a long time or else you and bhaiyu go somewhere alone or you and bhabhi go out, you and mum dad go out, no one takes me out? Aaj tak aap dono mein se koi mujhe palace ke gate tak bhi leke gaya hai?" Aarchi asked angrily.

"Awww baby ko bura laga" Aviraj crept up behind her and pulled her cheeks.

"Enough enough" Kaira hit Aviraj's hand and pushed him back onto his seat.

Raj was driving as Manav sat beside him with Vihaan snoring in the back. He had just finished a surgery in the early morning when Raj and Manav had kidnapped Vihaan and threw him in the car's backseat.

"Wake up the princess" Raj said motioning Manav to wake up Vihaan.

"Oyeee" Manav turned around and threw random wrappers of crisps and biscuits on Vihaan's face.

"He's dead I think" Manav said looking at the drooling Vihaan in disgust.

"Just wake him up" Raj said rolling his eyes. Manav smiled deviously and jumped onto the back seat in the moving car.

"Asshole you aren't 5 year old that you'd move behind with ease" Raj said slapping Manav's back.

"Dil toh bacha hai ji" Manav held Raj's face from behind and kissed his cheek.

"I'm married, I'm married" Raj screamed pushing Manav away.

"You dead man" Manav tried to wake up Vihaan by pushing him with one finger on his chest.

"Hey Aarchi!" Manav whispered in Vihaan's ear making him sit upright in an instant.

"Good morning princess" Raj greeted him, looking in the backseat from the rear mirror.

"Bye" Manav moved back into his original position and turned on the radio, connecting his Spotify to it.

"Why are you playing such sad songs? Tera breakup hua hai kya?" Raj asked looking at Manav weirdly.

"I'll connect mine" Vihaan said rubbing his face with a handkerchief he wet with the help of a water bottle.

He reached out for his phone in his jeans and connected it.

"Mujhko Rana ji maaf karna, galti mhare se hogayii" All three of them screamed the lyrics, behaving drunk. Throughout the journey they vibed to hindi item songs.

On the other hand, Aarchi was with Yukti and Divya.

"So bacha party, how is your love life?" Yukti asked as she noticed how both the girls kept glancing at their phones every two minutes.

"Woh toh farmhouse jake hi pata chal jayega" Divya said angrily seeing no notification from Manav.

"Hahaha, enjoy your time alone now because later on you'll miss it" Yukti said turning around, keeping Aryaman's car in attention while Raj's car was behind.

"Ek baat puchu?" Aarchi asked turning to see Yukti who nodded her head.

"Why didn't you and Raj bhai travel in one car?" She asked noticing that the couple were travelling alone.

"We have fought. He isn't apologizing and I'm not talking to him" Yukti said looking in the rear mirror to see Raj vibing to something in full force and rolled her eyes.

"Inhe dekhke lagta hai ke he is affected by our fight?" She murmered to herself before seeing infront with a foul mood.

"He loves you, kardo maaf" Divya jumped inbetween poking her head towards them from the backseat.

"Nope not this time. I asked him to spend some time with me alone but no, he's got no time for me. His work can get his time, his parents can get time, his friends can get time, his daughter can get time but when it comes to his wife, he's tired and wants to sleep" Yukti said hitting the horn and pressing the accelerator, moving the car ahead of Aryaman.ย

Divya and Aarchi sat silently, noticing Yukti was in a bad mood.

"Nidhi isย  coming?" Yukti asked taking a deep breathe and slowing down, allowing Aryaman to move ahead of her.

"Yeah she said is coming. She had to go to her parents' house so she'll join later" Aarchi explained.

"Watch Avi and her come together. And when you'll ask how? They'll give the most absurd excuses" Yukti said smiling.

____________

"Did you guys fight?" Vihaan asked noticing Yukti drive slightly rashly and Raj look unaffected.

"She's being unreasonable" Raj said shaking his head.

"You know that between you two, you have a high probability of being unreasonable" Manav said siding with Yukti.ย

"Agreed" Vihaan nodded his head.

"You are my friends or hers?" Raj asked angrily as he horned at Aryaman's car.

"Yours but she's a better friend than you. After Nidhi, she's the only girl who's stuck to us for this long" Vihaan said leaning onto Manav's headrest.

"She thinks I don't spend enough time with her. I have work to do, she needs to understand that we aren't in university where I can leave everything and rush to her when she calls" Raj said angrily.

"Your married life, your life. Solve your issues before they take a bigger picture" Vihaan said patting his shoulder.

"Where's Nitya?" Manav asked.

"She's with the grandparents gang" Raj said looking behind to see the black Land cruiser.

"Increase the volume" Raj said angrily, not wanting to think about his wife when he was travelling with his friends.

____________

"Wowww" Yukti parked the car beside Aryaman's and stepped up, stretching her body. Raj soon parked beside her and stepped out.

"These is so pretty" Yukti said looking at the wooden farmhouse in between the tall trees.

Aarchi opened the boot of the car and removed her luggage as Divya did with hers.

"This is also Ranawat property?" Maitri asked in awe as she stared at the place in surprise.

"Yes Mayu" Aryaman opened the boot smiling at her and removed the luggage.

"Look around later, first go have breakfast and then take a nap. We will go out at noon" Rishav said as he talked to Jiya's husband. (Jiya is Maitri's mother).

"Yeah, let's go" Manav said giving his luggage to Raj and Vihaan and ran inside, smelling the aroma of food.

"Pagal ladka" Jiya said laughing as helpers soon came and took luggage from everyone.

"There's kachori and samosa guys" Manav screamed at them holding one of each in his hands showing it everyone.

"You sure you want to date him?" Aryaman bent down to Divya and asked.

"He's the one" Divya said smiling.

"Huge mistake saali saheba" He laughed.

"I'm hungry" Aarchi ran behind Manav and sat down to eat. Soon everyone joined them. Raj and Yukti sat on different ends of the table earning everyone's side glances. They ignored the angry glares they threw at each other and focused on the breakfast. Aarchi and Arush stared into the phone, looking at each other in shock as they gossiped about someone, while the rest talked among themselves.

"Bhai aab room dikhade warna mein yaheen so jaunga" Veer said looking at Rishav.

Rishav and Aryaman showed everyone their rooms in the huge house.

"I want a separate room" Raj announced looking at Yukti who was eating. Her hand stilled hearing his words. Everyone in the room also stopped talking realizing this was getting out of hands.

"Nitya... come here bacha" Raj stood up to get Nitya from his parents as Yukti stared at her plate emotionlessly.

"I'm done eating" Yukti stood up with her plate and rushed away.

"Raj, you sure?" Aryaman asked softly.

"Yeah. There's one more room right?" He asked unaffected. Aryaman nodded his head and showed the room.

"Yukti..." Maitri walked behind Yukti, not liking how Raj behaved with her in front of everyone. Maitri found Yukti standing by the sink with her hands gripping the platform tightly and her head bent. Maitri hugged her without saying or asking anything.

"I shouldn't have come here. I'm going back home" Yukti said crying in Maitri's arms.

"You've come here to enjoy, don't ruin that. Think about Nitya, she needs both of you here with her" Maitri explained holding her tightly. Yukti cried a bit more before leaving Maitri and turning around to wash her face. Maitri left her alone giving her space.ย

"What's going on?" Maitri asked confused noticing Raj was also missing.

"No idea" Aryaman said.

"Let's go sleep. We will see about them in the afternoon" Vihaan said. Yukti walked out of the kitchen and without looking at anyone walked out of the house. Aarchi nodded at Vihaan and retired to her room she was sharing with Divya.

_______

"Jaane Jigar Jaaneman,

Mujhko Hai Teri Kasam

Tu Jo Mujhe Na Mili,

Mar Jaunga Main Sanam" Manav knocked on Divya's doorwho rolled her eyes.

"Now you miss me?" She opened the door angrily and asked.

"I always miss you" Manav said trying to be cute. Aarchi laughed as she sat on the bed and heard them.

"Talk to my friend until I pacify my girlfriend" Manav pushed Vihaan inside the room, pulling Divya out.

"Hey"

"Bye" Aarchi stood up ignoring him.

"I was asleep 3/4th of the ride" He tried to reason with her.

"And the 1/4th?" She asked throwing a pillow at him.

"We were vibing on songs and then Raj and his anger. It was a serious situation" Vihaan explained. Aarchi nodded, taking a step towards him.

"My kiss?" Vihaan asked taking her into his arms. She leaned and bit his cheek hard.

"For not messaging me" She complained and then placed kisses on it.

"Because I forgive you" Vihaan laughed before pulling her face up and kissing her.

______________

Yukti sat on the entrance steps with her hands around her knees as Raj observed her from his room right above her.

"She'll fall sick. Damn her stubborness" Raj said hitting the wall angrily before walking downstairs with a shawl.

Yukti sat covering her head in her hands when she felt a warm cloth around her.

"Nitya doesn't need to be around sick people. Its still hazardous to her" Raj said walking back inside.

"What about me but? Don't I matter?" She asked to no one, removing the shawl and holding it in her laps.
